Economic prospects of tncs and essential conditions for influencing economic policy

Subject/topic. The mining industry of the Russian Federation is a significant industry that ensures the output of the country’s gross industry. The Russian mining industry is distinguished by the extraction of minerals on the international market.  The depletion of natural resources requires improved mining methods. Judging by the volume of mineral production and forecasts of budget revenues, it is clear that the pace of export deliveries is not decreasing. The economic outlook extends to new mining deposits in hard-to-extract areas of the Arctic. The availability of innovative technologies and intellectually trained specialists allows you to master the processes of mining in harsh conditions.

Goals/objectives The purpose of the article is to substantiate the prospects and opportunities of TNCs of the mining industry as a driver of the development of the Russian economy

The methodology of the study is based on the use of the method of analysis, synthesis, estimates and statistics, economic analytical tools.  Findings. The formation of an ESG standard makes it possible to activate economic policy in relation to the environment, social obligations and management in general. The development of large high-tech projects requires the attraction of financial resources, which have recently been sorely lacking.

The result/practical significance of the study lies in the fact that modern methods and tools are needed for the economic development of the country. The old mechanisms and instruments of monetary policy recommended for the development of project activities have shown their inadequacy. Gold reserves can allow attracting investments to raise the economy of the Russian Federation. At present, financial resources are too expensive and inaccessible to promote not only large, but also medium and small businesses.

Keywords: mining, innovative technologies, ESG standard, gold backing, minerals, profitability, social responsibility, ecology.

Commercial air transportation: world trends and russian realities

Abstract

Subject/Topic The international air transportation market is one of the most dynamic and competitive sectors of the world economy, which has a number of different development trends. No less important for the Russian economy is its commercial civil aviation, which also has its own development features.

Goals/Objectives Analysis of the development of Russian and global air transportation markets.

Methodology Theoretical analysis and synthesis, graphical method.

Output The global aviation industry is showing a stable long-term trend towards moderate growth. Having recovered from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, global aviation will continue to increase its transportation volumes. The Russian aviation industry is going through a difficult time – the number of airports is decreasing, the production volumes of mainline aircraft are small, and the number of passengers carried will largely depend on how long foreign aircraft can be safely operated by domestic airlines.

Keywords: global air transportation market, Russian air transportation market, commercial air transportation, aviation industry, development of civil aviation.

Analysis of Max Weber's work the protestant ethic and the spirit of capitalism

Abstract

Subject/Topic: the article analyzes Max Weber’s work The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism (1905), which examines the influence of Protestantism, particularly Calvinism, on the development of capitalism. The historical preconditions of Weber’s theory, his methodology—including the use of ideal types—and the impact of his work on sociology, economic history, and cultural studies are explored. Special attention is given to the interconnection between religious norms, economic behavior, and modernization processes.

Goals/Objective: the study aims to analyze Weber’s theory on the connection between the Protestant ethic and capitalism, examine its historical and methodological foundations, and assess its role in shaping modern disciplines such as economic sociology and modernization theories. The objective also includes evaluating critiques and the relevance of Weber’s work in the context of global changes.

Methodology: the research employs primary sources (Weber’s works) and secondary data (studies by other scholars). A comparative analysis of religions, the concept of ideal types, and a structural-functional approach are utilized. Interdisciplinary perspectives—economics, sociology, religious studies, and cultural studies—are considered.

Results: the analysis demonstrates the significant impact of Weber’s work on the social sciences, particularly in economic sociology and modernization theories. Weber’s theory catalyzed debates on the role of culture and religion in economic development. Critiques highlight the complexity of the relationship between religion and capitalism, yet his work remains relevant for understanding the historical preconditions of capitalism and its future.

Conclusions and Relevance: weber’s theory remains pivotal in the social sciences despite criticism. It emphasizes the importance of cultural factors but shows that the success of capitalism depends on multiple conditions, including technological, institutional, and geographical factors. The contemporary relevance of his work is evident in its adaptation to analyzing the digital economy, ecological challenges, and globalization.

Keywords: genesis of capitalism, Protestant ethic, Calvinism, ideal types, economic sociology, modernization theories, cultural turn, globalization, secularization, capitalist ethic.

Systematic analysis of customs affairs

Abstract

Topic Analysis of customs affairs from the point of view of a systems approach, identification of relationships between various elements of the system, description of processes and functions.

Objectives/tasks The study of this topic includes several key tasks, such as analysis of existing approaches, followed by definition of the system, this is the formulation of the concepts of “customs system” and “system analysis” in the context of customs affairs, as well as the definition of its components, such as rules, processes and technologies.

Methodology First of all, a literature review is conducted, consisting of collecting and analyzing existing scientific and practical materials on this topic and a systems analysis. Also, when preparing and writing the article, the dialectical method was used, which made it possible to study the customs system and conduct its systems analysis.

Results/conclusions In accordance with the identified problems, effective models were proposed demonstrating optimized customs control and declaration processes. Based on the data obtained, recommendations were formulated for improving the system, including the introduction of new technologies, improving the skills of employees and improving interaction with other government agencies.

Practical significance The practical significance of this study lies in the comprehensive optimization of customs services’ work processes, which can lead to a reduction in cargo handling time and a reduction in costs. The results obtained can form the basis for further research in the field of system analysis and customs affairs, as well as for the development of educational programs for specialists in this field.

Integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning into business analytics

Abstract

Topic: To explore the transformation of business analytics under the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), focusing on their role in predictive modeling and strategic management.

Objectives/tasks. Comparative analysis of existing approaches and development directions of predictive business analysis tools in the domestic corporate process management system, study of modern trends in the use of innovative analytical methods in the business sphere and their impact on the final performance.

Methodology: The methodology includes comparative analysis of NLP algorithms, assessment of the accuracy of predictive models and expert interviews.

Results: Analysis of AI/ML implementation cases in retail, logistics and the financial sector (2020–2023) demonstrates key benefits: increasing the accuracy of demand forecasts by 25–40% due to processing unstructured data, automating 70% of routine analytical tasks and personalizing marketing strategies through identifying behavior patterns.

Conclusions. The results demonstrate the need for a balance between technological capabilities and ethical risks, as well as the dependence of success on the maturity of the company’s data culture. The practical relevance of the work lies in the development of a step-by-step framework for AI/ML integration with criteria for tool selection and ROI evaluation.

Keywords: artificial intelligence, machine learning, business intelligence, predictive modelling, NLP, digital transformation.
